In 1976 there was a rabies scare in Jerusalem. Sad to say I was unable to resist going for a joke, using Doobie, Mr. Shuldig's dog, shown misreading the story in the Jerusalem Post.

I've always had two weaknesses. One is a love of "Good News, Bad News" jokes and the other is a compulsion to go for a laugh when the situation seems frightening.
This King Solomon cartoon about a threat from Syria is an example of both.
